Wont work, gotta be a supported adapter.

It has to be programmed, but first ive heard of a pin. But im telling you, this isnt the issue.
Ok, thanks Talon
I found the correct OBDLINK 428101 OBD2 Scanner Adaptor on Amazon and will get that and use it with Forscan and reset the FBCM as you recommend…. Will be back as soon as I get the adaptor.

cheers

Cancel your appt, get Forscan and an adapter and reset the FBCM.
Hi Talon

I got FORScan and the correct adaptor. This is what I was seeing:
Successful DTC reading, no error codes found

Module: Transmission Control Module
===END TCM DTC===

===PCM DTC U023A:00-2E===
Code: U023A - Lost Communication with Forward Sensing Camera.

cannot find this code recorded anywhere and I cannot see with the software where to clear codes. Can you help at all please.

Hi all, same issue here 2017 sport Nav. SCBS forward malfunction. Only consistency i have with the warning lights coming on is when I'm leaving the motorway, same spot everyday, it appears to be when I start breaking, i have tried not to brake and just let the engine brake work, it came on straight away. 5:00am in the morning so no cars in front of me.
Also, the warning light appeared to come on considerably more when it was below 0. Only fault code i get given is regarding the airmass flow sensor. Reluctant to change this due to the cost and it not working for others.

Hi, thought I woudl update. I had the SCBS malfunction, code p0101, car goes into limp mode. I replaced MAP sensor, did not work. Brought back to dealer who cleaned/decoked the manifold and throttle body. That was about 13 months ago and no problems since.

Hi I'm new to the club and wondered if anybody had same problem, I have a 2016 Sport nav tourer with 91k on the clock, a couple of weeks ago I got three messages up on dash scbs forward malfunction, traction control and I stop was flashing, the car went into limp mode but when I turned engine off it all reset and ran ok, this happened a few more times so I took it to Mazda main dealers and they said might be dpf clogged up, so they unclogged it and said they were 99% sure this would fix it but it hasn't, the car is still doing it, it has lack of power, the auto box seems out of sync and if I give it some stick on the motor way it comes up with same messages again and goes into limp mode, I'm taking it back in next week and they're keeping it until it's fixed ( I hope), anyone had similar problems.
This just happened to me today: while driving downhill, car went into limp mode, SCBS and ESP lights were flashing... after restart everything was ok.

sounds to me like exhaust gas pressure sensor £60 from Mazda, it a upgraded version. Easy to change 20 min, you must use the new loom they provide with it. Plug it straight in the old loom and new one into new sensor.
also take off boost pipe top front engine, quite a thin pipe under a sensor, it points towards u. Clear the tube pipe was sitting on. I used a blunt needle, blow down other make sure it unblocked. It’s ridiculously thin it easily gets blocked.

Hi everyone! I have mazda6 2015 with 120000km now. I had the same problem. Only on downhill !!!
so after my mechanic checks everything and everything was fine he told me that maybe he need to change oil and filter in the gear box. So Yesterday I tried again to go from downhill and the car was fine!!! Thanks GOD!!!
So maybe this was the problem??

I have a 2015 cx5 and it threw up scbs and tyre pressure sensor at the same time, it never went into limp mode but wouldn't let you set cruise control. It disappeared when you turned it off so it wouldn't show up for the mechanic. About a week later the turbo went so we had that changed and noticed about a month later the brakes feeling really stiff, mechanic said it was a vacuum pump and this could have been the reason for the turbo too ( no idea how it's all connected ) I replaced the vacuum pump this weekend and now feels like a smoother drive, brakes work great and messages for scbs and tyre pressure have disappeared so far ?

Same here, mine has been playing up for months. I just keep turning the car off and restarting it. Have to break the journeys into 30 minute intervals as that's how often it comes on. Reading through this, I think there's a serious flaw in this 2.2 engine design, Mazda knows about it but it is making them a lot of money in spares and repairs.

Did you fixed the problem yet ? I give my one to mechanic replceced pressure exhaust sensor and clean the pipe I thought that was the problem but I stop and scbs lights come on again 😟

I replaced the MAP sensor, it didn't help. Next thing for me is to get the windscreen recalibrated. Still have the problem at the moment...it is very frustrating.

Mine is so weird. It comes on in the exact same places on a number of local roads, without exception. It stays off everywhere else, so something about those circumstances must trigger it. For example...as I'm slowing down for one specific local roundabout, but only from one direction, from other approaches it is fine...also comes on as I go over the brow of a specific hill but not when I'm returning from the other direction...and as I leave one specific exit of a dual carriageway.

I have had the exact same issue on my Mazda 6 2017 Estate. Although it's not the tyre pressure that turns on but the DSC as well as the SCBS. Tends to happen in exactly the same spot when I drive, whilst driving on the highway and just de-accelerating or breaking to exit. .. This was also then triggering the DPF filter light on. Now DPF filter blinks and engine light stays on despite restarting. I have taken the car to Mazda, charged me 145 for initial diagnostics and say: Mass airflow restriction due to Extensive carbon build up (Thus DPF I imagine and we already knew this). Also DTC for exhaust pressure sensor, requires carbon clean. They advise cylinder leak breakdown and compression test to see if any further issue with inlet exhaust compression. New the cost for the compression test is £288 over £145 I have already paid for!!… I must say I'm not happy specially after seeing how common this seems to be amongst customers. Have you had any results from your end?
