Depends on which year/model you have but, so far as I'm aware, at least a few people have modified their sound systems in every model. You can check my signature for the 3rd Gen 1 stop shop to see links to people's mods.

 

Because you have the base model your options for aftermarket upgrades might be simpler than if you had the Bose system. Of course "simpler" is a relative term. You haven't stated which model 6 you have, but the degree of simplicity decreases with the generation model you have, with 3G models being the most complex of the three.

 

It's a 2013 model only 5 weeks old.
