Hi,
Anyone top off their R134A refrigerant and see it looking Green??
I'm wondering if its die for leak detection as I've honesly never seen it be green before.

Its an 06 with Auto Climate, it blows 40F at the dash full cooling set at 60F.
Low side pulls 22 psi, high side 190 ~ 225 as it gets hot. Ever since i've owned it, it cycles the compressor never just staying on. Pretty sure its designed that way for MPG/Efficiency etc... Off its sitting at roughly 50PSI...

My 95 camry on R134a runs a higher head pressure at 250 PSI and pumps out 30F from the dash. It doesn't cycle every 30 seconds like this does...

Is your R134A Green?
What temps do you get at the dash on full cool setting?
What are your pressures?

A pic from before I held it at 2500 for 3". After that the HS shot up about 40 PSI to 220. Low side stayed the about the same.

Adding volume help reduce the amount the HS would drop while on. As once on, the pressure would drop slowly during that cycle.

Here is a pump on:

And right after it cycles off:

Still curious about the green. Is the compressor oil Green? Does that mean it has moisture in it?? Does anyone else blow 40 degrees???

For the last year I've owned it, 40F is as low as it goes. It was 75F that day. I checked it because its runs anytime the Defrost is on. Didn't want to kill the compressor once the rain season starts.....

Anyone who has an interest in maintaining their own AC or recharging after pulling the engine might want to download this now while its here. It from AN RX8 but it has allot of good info with all the pressures, temps, charge scaling and which appears to fit pretty closely with our system.

http://www.rotaryheads.com/PDF/RX8/10Hvac.pdf Also, its not branded with any copywrite info so have at it. Of all the 6 specific things I have, this is actually useful.

FWIW: on a 70F day charts show its only good for 42F at the vent.
