I had the turbosmart bov, 100% recirc, fluttered like a mofo even on the softest setting.. switched to Synapse and i wont look back![/b]

Same here, after I installed my fmic, my surge (flutter) was really bad with my Turbosmart. Synapse cured all my surge

Apparently this BOV fluttering is more of a widespread issue than I had at first thought. I have had my HKS SSQ BOV for 3 years and it never really fluttered until I installed the FMIC. ALSO an interesting point is that it only seems to cause an issue when it's cold outside. In the summer, it's not a problem. In the winter, the fluttering causes the car to buck a little bit. It's really annoying and it's only on part throttle/boost activation of the BOV.

Is HKS not the best choice these days? If we have the CP-E FMIC, does the Synapse fit or are there modifications that have to be made?

Thanks! :)

Good point, my forge only has about an inch or two clearance under the hot pipe. I'm not sure what options will fit in that space.
