I had alarm system setting off randomly on my Mazda6 GS 2010. My solution was to avoid arming the alarm by locking doors with fob with driver door open, then one press unlock which unlocks only driver door, then I toggle the manual (not the electrical switch) door lock on driver door and close the door. This avoids arming the alarm system. The parking lights don't flash when you follow this procedure, confirming that alarm remains unarmed, but car is locked.

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to put my solution out there since I didn't have much luck when I was trying to find a solution... If you have a push button start, when you insert your emergency key into the slot on the column, it moves a little lever that activates a switch telling the vehicle you've inserted a key. Well, they used really cheap materials when making the cover over that lever and it literally crumbled inside my steering column causing the lever to move around. It started with my alarm randomly going off and the dome light randomly turning on. It progressed to the point that my fob would no longer set the alarm or lock the doors at all. I fashioned a new cover out of some scrap tin laying around the garage and haven't had any issues since implementing my fix.
