XM radio options?

Hey everyone,

I have a 2006 Mazda 6 with the factory Bose 6-disc changer. Got my iPod hooked up via Audio Link (rpm store) for crystal-clear playback through the factory head unit. For the last year or so I've been listening to XM Satellite radio on one of those crappy little FM transmitters, which is fine for talk radio and what not, but unacceptable for listening to music. Anyone know of an option to get an XM receiver directly hooked up to the head unit (that won't interfere with the Audio Link that's connecting my iPod)?

Thanks a lot!!

someone posted something a few weeks ago about an ipod/xm radio connector they found on a Mazda3 website that works for our cars. I don't remember where it's located on our site, but, take a look around.

I have the Aux Mod.
It turns the tape deck port on the radio into a line in jack that you can connect any device to that has a headphone jack out put.
I have my portable XM unit connected to that and the sound is crystal clear.

Here is a link to the site for the Aux Mod.

In-line FM adapters are also cheap ($20) and easy to install, without hogging your aux-in jack. These are nearly indistinguishable in sound from plugging in from an aux jack. And, all the wiring is behind the dash. You unplug your antenna from the headunit, plug the adapter into the headunit, and the antenna into the adapter. Done.

I used one of them for the XM before i had the Aux mod. And it did sound like crap.
The AUX mod is the best way to go. Because I have the plug where i can also use it with a MP3 player or my laptop. And it is crystal clear.
