Hey all...
So, some of us in the DC area have to deal with the 6's windshield condensation issue, I believe (because air leaks from the climate control system thru the defrost vents when you are using the main face/feet vents, if you are using the AC on a humid warm day it will cause condensation to form on the outside of the windshield). For two years, it's annoyed me, but because my dash has so many rattles, I've been nervous about getting it fixed because I don't want to risk ending up with even more rattles from them moving the dash to fix it.
But in the past few weeks, it has started to drive me nuts. I went on a long trip for the 4th, and from Richmond north, I either had to have the interior temp set at 75+ or had to deal with flicking the wipers every once in a while to clear the condensation. Since then, with the weather we've had, I've had 6+ inches of condensation on the windshield almost every evening when I've been in the car.
So what I'm wondering is, has anyone else taken their car to the dealer for this fix, and how did it go? If folks can let me know how their specific dealer did, I'd be glad - I'd like to take it to someone who actually fixed the problem right, and didn't end up with the car rattling a ton more or poorly screwed back together.
Thoughts, anyone?
