Has anyone else had this happen?

When the doors lock they sometimes make a squeak sound.

'09 GT.

Nope...just a crisp click sound. Could it be temperature related? Maybe expansion and shrinking of the plastics from hot and cold weather that might cause rubbing???

I noticed it a while ago. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's warm or cold out.

It seems to happen only when I lock the doors. But, when I unlock then re-lock the doors it will not do it the second time. That's the problem. It will be hard to get it to happen at the dealer.

Can you isolate the noise to being at the lock next to the handle, latch in the door jamb or somewhere behind the door panel. Maybe just needs a little lubrication. It must be relubing (haha...sorry for the bad choice of words) it a little when you lock it the first time. Thats why you might not hear it the second time.

Yes i've had the squeaking sound for several years in my 04' 6s. It's like a high pitch squeak that happens when hit the lock switch. It doesn't seem to affect the locking mechanism, so I just left it alone.

This happens to me, on unlock only, seems to be isolated to my rear driver's side door. '10 GS.

Going to try lubricating it and see if that helps any.

Mine did that on the front passenger door. I took it in to the dealership and they said it was a faulty door actuator. Extended warranty covered the $200 and some change part and no more noise now.

now my right rear one is starting to "talk".... time to call the extended warranty again.
