New to the forums so I thought I should post as a n00b. Just bought a 2004 Mazda 6 about 3 months ago. The AC blows hot. When turning AC on and off compressor does nothing and neither does the radiator fan on passenger side. How do I set the controls to get AC working? Had an AC light with air recirculating and fan on high. Temp on 60. What are the basic next steps to troubleshoot? Any assist would be much appreciated!!

Welcome to the forum !

Start by checking the fuses and the compressor relay. If those are ok then most likely the system is low on gas. I'd start by checking that before messing with the controls.
Troubleshooting an AC can be a lengthy process and will require some basic skills depending on what the issue is.

You can find out if the system is low on gas by bypassing the low pressure switch, if the AC starts that will tell you need to re-charge it but most likely there will be a leak somewhere.

Thanks Jman!! I'll check pressure and fuses tonight per your suggestion.
Not sure how to bypass the low pressure switch so I will Google that.
I'll try and report back tomorrow.
Thanks again for the assist!!
