Need Help With ATX Shifter Light Fuse

I replaced the two bulbs (#74) that illuminate the transmission gear indicator (for park, neutral, drive, etc on the center console in front of the cup holders) in my 2007 Mazda 6.

When I put the two new bulbs in I may have pushed one in too far... When I first turned on the lights one lit momentarily then burned out immediately. The other one never lit up at all. I had a hard time getting the one that lit up back out, hence my thinking that I pushed it in too far.

Anyway, I have two more new bulbs and neither light up now.

Does anyone know which fuse I should check, and also what other lights may be on the same fuse? (since all my other lights work I wonder if any others are on the same circuit).

Any other advice would be appreciate too. Thanks!

Problem solved!

I took the center floor console apart again today and with the lights on, I noticed that the bulbs flickered when moving things around. After playing with it for a while, I determined that the bulb sockets and wiring are to blame for the problem. If I move the wires just right, the bulbs stay lit. The console is back together and both bulbs are working right now, but I'm sure they will go off again once the wires move around. So I guess I need to find some replacement bulb sockets for a more permanent fix...

Just had one of mine go out and had the same issue above with the #74 . Turns out the #74 are too big and not the right fitment for my 2006. Took them back and got #2721 and they fit perfect and work no problem...

one of mine is out, confirmed it's the socket, not the bulb, since when i swapped bulbs the problem stayed with the socket. can you get a new socket from radio shack or something? otherwise i am going to try prying the inside of it a bit with a screwdriver or something small so it makes better contact and see if that works.

thanks
