Well, I already solved this issue. I found on electrical diagram that wires from those 3 buttons are connected with one cable going to unit ISO socket. I connected this cable to key1 and then I could program all 3 bluetooth buttons on steering wheel. I believe i am first one who solved that because I couldnt find any solution on any forum.

I replaced my NB1 head unit to sinosmart with can bus control. Erverything works good beside bluettoth knobs on steering wheel which is not functioning at all.
I get some knowledge that those knobs are resistant so do not work with can bus.
Then I found that wires from those knobs are going to ISO main plug to radio unit which is then connected to harness from radio. On the radio there are two free wires Key1 and Key2 which suppose to work with bluetooth knobs if connected properly. Question is if anyone made it to those knobs work with android unit?

would it be worthwhile to replace a 2013 head unit with one from a newer model as mine doesn't have satnav installed or should i just go for the aftermarket one

 

Dash board shape has changed in 2016 or 2017 (i don't remember exactly).

 

Well that rules that out I guess. i was hoping i could buy a second hand unit in a breakers yard and swap them over. mine doesnt have the sd card installed

 

Well, i had unit with navigation but still it is prehistoric. Really, swap to android, works perfect. Connects to my iPhone wireless by wifi and screening through Apple car play my Spotify/Maps/phone calls and more. This is huge upgrade in infotainment use

 

It could be perfect if center drive wheel and car setting could work with this kind of unit. 😕

I have a M6 2014 2.5i with bose sound. I am looking into buying the Sinusmart HU from ali. I believe you have the same one: Bose Canbus 4G/32G 8Core.
I can see it has a DSP and amplifier. How is the sound compared to original?
Does the center speaker in the dash also work?
By any chance did you try if Android auto is working via cable/wireless ?
How complicated is the installation in matter of minutes/hours?
Did you have any issues with he unit since installation? would you buy it again?
