I've noticed that alot of people are buying tail lights from Car_LED and being a noob to this sight i was just wondering why i never see anyone that just swapped out stock bulbs for leds from superbrightled.com or anywhere instead of buying a whole new set of tailights? Is it because they aren't as bright or am i just an idiot and can't find anyone that has done this:D

Lol, well heres what car_LED lights look like...Adding an LED bulb would just look like a brighter version of the OEM light. :D

As someone else said, go car-LED or go home!

Those lights are simply beautiful Hixster :D

You can choose to go with LED bulbs, but in most cases, the LEDs may not be as bright as the stock bulbs. Plus, remember that the mirrors within the tails are aligned to work well with a filament, where the light is produced from a certain area of the bulb. Since the LEDs are more spread out along the bulb, the mirrors won't get the optimum amount of light, which not only affects the brightness, but can also spread the beams out in different, less efficient patterns.

They look much much better in person... I remember seeing them on here and thinking they look alright. I finally saw a member here in Vegas sporting them and I was like "ZOMG!" they are really bright and classy. Well worth the money.

I really like the CarLED tails. I plan on getting them for my 05 Hatch when I get the money but I have a question.

Where can I find a smoked LED third tail light for my 2005 hatchback? I have looked everywhere and cannot find them. A black car with smoked tails and a big red third tail will look horrible.

You might wanna PM F4D Lighting on here. IIRC at one point he was selling some.

You'll also want to get those rear sidemarkers also for the full smoked out look. I just nightshaded mine.

I thinking about buying some CAR_LED tails now that my car is paid off. What's the url address to order them? I see most people bought these in a group buy, but seeing there aren't any currently running I need a link to buy these. Thanks

I just read on one of the threads that these lights are not D.O.T. approved because they lack the yellow reflector on the side. Has anyone actually been pulled over for this? I didn't think it was that big of a deal because I have clear side markers and have never been pulled over for them.

8 months with them on now and haven't been pulled over. IMO these look stock so I doubt any cop will pull you over for this. I could see cars with blacked out headlights & taillights getting pulled over because you can hardly even see when they brake. These are LED and are bright as hell.

Never had issues with cops. Also there's lifetime warranty.
I just emailed Kevin at CARLED for a replacement bc one of mine had water in them. I've had them for 2 years, bought them through Potential Motorsport.
You won't regret it.

Just ordered my lights a few minutes ago. Any idea about when I can expect them shipped? I have no idea where they are located...I'm f*cking anxious now!

For some reason, I remember hearing that they were located in Japan? I would take a rough guess at 2-3 weeks shipped. Worth the wait though. :D

F4D brings them from Japan IIRC. Which is why they are so hard to find and he's the only place you could get them from.

If you ordered from him I'd say a week or so. Depends where you're at and when he ships. He'll probably send you a tracking number.
