Disable auto-lock ?

I absolutely hate Autolock! I do not forget to lock my car as I am paranoid about security in general. While I know many will argue then, that if I am paranoid about security then keep it on. While, I understand the benefits of autolock, I do not like that I do NOT have full control over my car. Sometimes I do NOT want my car to lock all by it's self. I saw this question posted 2 years ago with no real solution. I am just checking back to see if anyone has seen a solution since.

I went to the dealer and they said they were not able to do it.
--- Should I check again to see if maybe some different could do it, or if a different dealership could do it? Is it physically possible for the dealer to do it? It is actually something they can control with the computer?

I even went to a 3rd party custom car detailing company that does all kinds of special installs and work on cars. They could not figure it out either.

I just want to have full control over my car. I want to decide when my car locks and unlocks.

Side note, I have tired all of the combinations of trying to disable it with the key fob button pushes. I even hear the correct clicks and all, but it never disables.

When I bought my Speed6 three years ago new, it did not autolock. Somehow topic came up with Service manager I deal with and he had it done for me. It can be a pain at times but I just trick it by opening trunk last, hold remote away and let trunk lid drop slow while walking away fast. Sure the dealer can do it. I surmise if they can activate it as they did mine they can change it back. I like it even though I garage mine every day and has been this way for last year or so of three I had it.
If this just a Speed door locking option and not Speed dealer you went to and they have no experience-who knows. Call someone else and ask. No doubt will cost an hour labor.

Yeah, I do know they like to charge to do things like that. I think at a minimum our dealer here charges $75 just to plug into the computer! They charged me $50 to flash the computer to the newest firmware while it was there for egr replacement under the extended warranty. I don't know if it was worth it or not.

Like Speed said, you may need to go to a dealer that is a Speed dealer.
