Hi guys,

I'm new to the club. I just purchased a 2010 white v6 with comfort package. Just wondering if you guys had any experience or comments about the following setup: 18x7.5, offset 40mm, rubber size 225/40/18. Will these work on stock ride height? will there be rubbing issues? problems with joints etc? Any help would be appreciated!!!

stock: 18x8, offset 60mm, rubber size 235/45/18
you want: 18x7.5, offset 40mm, rubber size 225/40/18

you will be fine on a stock suspension. I'm running 19x8, offset 40mm, rubber size 225/40/19, lowered with AutoExe springs and I'm fine.

Rubbing - No, but I haven't had the car packed. I drove around with the stock rims, tires, and 2 passengers though.

Roll fenders - The back inneer fender is pretty thick, having two layers. You'd be better off cutting rather than rolling. The front won't have this problem.

Ball joints - No.

Reweld any pinch seams. Use a sealer/touch up paint on the exposed metal. Hopefully people aren't getting some tiny dremel and trying to do this.

Yes, rolling isn't hard. The tool (and baseball bat) was out long before the stance trend. If tucking the metal sandwich is as thick as the original lip, it defeats the purpose. Of course, whatever others do to their cars is not really my concern.

If I rolled my fenders would it cause the plastic wheel well to not be supported as well along the top of the fender?.( you know those little clips that hold the plastic in place). And c-man you think even with a proper fender roll that it wouldn't be flush?? I plan on geting some coilovers but I'm unsure if I should roll before or after. Don't mean to hijack just adding to the thread.

I wouldn't worry about the inner liner. You really only need to remove like 12" or so of material. It doesn't make a difference how you do it, as long as it clears where the tire will go. I wouldn't bother modifying the fender until you have the suspension and or wheel/tire set-up that is requiring it.
