Weird thing from lower control arm

Hello.

This weird thing came off my lower control arm (I think). It looks like it had rubber on it but was then shredded. I got this car wanting to work on it and learn a bit about cars, so I don't want to take it to the dealership (already did but they couldn't figure out what it is/didn't want to look without me paying).

I can't find it in any drawings, can't find a part number, and no YouTube tutorial I've looked

at says what it is. Removing it has not noticeably impacted the handling of the car. I'm okay getting/changing the assembly it came from, as soon as I can figure out what I should ask for.

The picture were taken from the front right side of the car looking down the back (hood to trunk).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I should specify that it is a 2007 sedan

Hi, I’ve replaced the front lower control arms on my 2006 previously but didn’t need to replace that part. I think it is some kind of bump stop/ balance. I’ve added a link to a really good video on replacing that control arm and there are good views of that part that the Center bolt goes through for the control arm. Maybe another member on here is more familiar with the part needed. Hope this helps.
