I am having similar issues. The key doesn't work very well anymore with the doors although it starts the car fine. It still works, but not like it used to. Unlocking the whole car is hit or miss most of the time I mostly have to hit the internal button. The trunk will only open with the remote once in a while. The door handle still almost always works.

I don't have the key light on right now but it has been on several times, and one of my keys seems a little worse than the other. I need to get it checked but I have been putting it off.

 

Same here except I've had a few times where it wouldn't start the car either and I had to resort to the actual key, curious as to what the cause is.

 

If you press the request switch and the car beeps, chances are its the side antenna. If it makes no noise it is the request switch.

 

Are all the campaigns done?

 

New member here, I restore vintage jeeps, so I'm at a loss here, my 20116i gt advanced keyless only starts car and unlocks trunk, I can only lock doors w manual valet key from outside, if I touch any door handles or buttons I get a series of beeps. Thinking bad trunk sensor, side antenna or what else?

 

Sounds like the transmitter is just dying out on you. It happens quite a bit, funny how we program those.

 

Don't forget to change the battery in your fov before replacing anything else.
