Straight plug-n-play.

You lose the hold down bracket of the stock coil but these coils attach securely to the plug and will not come off without really trying to take them off.Another great mod for the money just like the Fluidampr.

You don't have the stacker yet do you?? wonder how that would affect these...i'm assuming it would make the throttle response and idle more more noticeable

 

I'm interested in seeing a picture of them installed, can you make that happen?

I have the Stacker sitting on the shelf still in the box at work.It will be installed soon.

No problem,I had the test fit pics of them on a Duratec in a thread somewhere.

I need to get my mafci working or for sniper to come out because i dont want to lean out my car anymore. not running the mafci because it seems to not work and still running the intake. 3 months on that so far. not saying its safe forever but no problems yet.

They will sell 6 coils for the V6,so no needed extra ones.I don't know how he is pricing them but I think retail is gonna be $330-$340 for a set.

 

Nice experiment! Looking forward to the Stacker addition. No miss fire at high rpm? That's worth the money right there.

Yeah i'm running the same way, without the Mafci box...whenever i plug it in the car idles crazy or goes into limp home mode after driving for a few miles, had it out for a few months now...yeah i definitely don't want to lean out the car any more! i gotta fix this thing (CPE gave me a new box and still the same problem, my wires are soldered, gotta check the wiring diagram, its just strange cuz it worked for 6 months prior)

 

I'd make a bracket like this to hold them down.

You won't need it,they don't move

 

Consider it extra measure of securing it. They were there for a reason in the first place. Like that grommet at the bottom to seal out contaminents. Would be nice if it sealed up the plug shaft. I'm sure something could be rigged up to make it seal.

It's a step in the right direction. But for those that want close as stock to possible the bracket will make them feel secure.

 

quik, how much hp do you think you gained from, just a rough estimate before a dyno?

And the coils should pay for itself with the price of gas, since you will be saving gas

They have a patent pending attachment system if you read into the description on the website.They are secure believe me,I was almost scared that they would breal the tip off the plug when I was trying to get them off.Now when you install them the bottm of the boot does expand to seal the shaft,it is hard to tell from the picture though.

It feels like another 6-10whp gain on the butt dyno.I will post the the mpg gains after I fill up a couple times to get a good average on the gain.

I will say that the coils and fluidampr have been awesome mods for the car.I am really looking forward to the tuning system from Sniper and seeing how much I can pull out of the car N/A and then we will see what we can do with a built turbo engine.

DJquick1, Who was the guy you ordered from or did you just order off the web page? I will get these, and check against the stacker 8.

I have the Fluidampr in now and the O2 Simulator....done yesterday. If these should help with more power I have no problem getting them.

Its crazy because the gains are getting smaller for me with each addition.... but its crazy because the car runs better with each new addition. It pulls very strong and more power is always better. That extra power you feel is probably similar to the stacker 8. I cant imagine having both hi performance coils and stacker box.

I called and spoke with Patrick at Sniper.Call him and place an order.Just let him know that I referred you and that you are on the 6club forum.I have been in contact with him on getting the tuner since I will be beta testing the tuning system for them.

I don't like how they don't seal the hole like stock, I can only imagine how much sand and shit would get down in the hole after some normal driving. I would need these to fit closer to stock if I were going to get them...

 

I wonder how much noticeable difference would if these things were hooked up to Pulstars. I know, a lot of people hate Pulstars but for me the Pulstars have been working great. I noticed better idle, more responsiveness, and improved mileage with the Pulstars.

I'm guessing since the Pulstars already store up energy, having these coils might negate possible gains?

Sand would be the least of my worries. That can be blown out with a blow gun before servicing the plugs. Water would be the problem. I have encounter many Ford trucks that got water in the plug hole and shorted the plug/coil causing a misfire. Anyway Dave said that it does seal you just can't see it in the pics.
