So on my way to work today, I got on it a little while passing someone on the freeway. I downshifted into 5th @ ~ 65-70MPH and gave it about 50-65% throttle. Everything was fine until I hit 4K RPM, at which point I got a momentary loss of power (almost felt like I ran something over because it was so abrupt) which lasted maybe half a second. This was accompanied by a loud, deep "whup!" from my exhaust. Of course by 4100-4200RPM this was over and the car was accelerating like normal.
As any of us would do, I tried to replicate the issue. 2 more tires, with the same result. All 3 were in 5th gear with the issue occurring exactly at 4K RPM. No issues @ 4K in 4th or 6th gear, at any throttle position.
Odd thing is that I couldn't replicate this "hiccup" any further. Try as I might, the car ran like a champ. Also, this is the first time I've had any sort of "stuttering" issue since I installed the Cobb AP.
So.... WTF?
