Oil consumption reason found

If I ran an oil and got this sort of oil consumption problem that cleared up with MMO I would never run that oil in that engine ever again. I don't care what people claim I care what a particular thing does, and I can assure you these engines do not consume oil on a routine basis. This is especially true when said oil is wildly more-expensive than others that are known not to have that problem in that specific engine -- and there are said oils, specifically Pennzoil 0w20 which I've run in mine since I drained the factory fill.

I have a quarter-million miles on mine and it doesn't require any make-up over an entire OCI -- still -- as it has not since it was new.
Which Pennzoil 0w20 do you use? There's the brand-new Pennzoil Ultra Platinum but it's quite expensive compared to the regular Pennzoil Platinum.

I replaced the valve cover gasket and all is well oil level has stayed constant
I would check your spark plug wells/ spark plugs for signs of oil. I recently had to replace the valve cover gasket and noticed the spark plug wells were wet with oil, pulled out the spark plugs and noticed the treads were completely soaked, ended up replacing spark plugs too.
