Here is the deal. I know for a fact it cost more than 30 bucks to fill up a 6. Once again I filled up my tank and here's the info:

Gas: 2.49@12.007 gallons....30.01$. how much gas is in the tank on that one line before E? :drive: :nana: ;)

$41.50 this past sunday at 2.53, something along those lines, but the place where i filled up was expensive compared to the 2.43 i saw later that evening closer to home, if i didnt need the gas so bad i would have held out. This is a lot of money. They need a hybrid 6.

E, you're far far from empty.  Unlike me tonight:  I just got back from out of town, at 360 miles on my odometer, my lights came on.  Now my odometer is reading 400+ miles and I haven't got gas yet!  :D

Thats because I refuse to let my car go under that line. :nana: I had to use my gas card today though :(

I spent $36.75 @ $2.75 a gallon last night, I pulled it almost right after my light came on, not sure on how much I put in, maybe like 14ish... Still Gas does suck aroudn Chicago, least in the south suburbs it does!

Ok......since nobody else seems to have put this on this thread yet.....the gas prices are high to us, yes. Does it suck? Damn straight. BUT in Europe it is far more than in the US, so suck it up.

How many times is there going to be a new post on gas prices? My God, as if it isn't bad enuf seeing the prices at the gas station to make us feel like we are just handing over our paycheck; we have to see countless posts about it online too.

If it bothers you so much, start taking public transportation, ride a bike, or carpool and stop bitching please!

Do you honestly think that a hybrid will save that much $$$, considering it would be 4 to 5K MORE to buy off a showroom floor?

Don't forget that if you actually DRIVE (i.e. accelerate harder than a typical sedan driver), you'd gain maybe 2 MPG. Unless you granny it, but grannying a 6 makes baby jesus cry. :tear:

Hybrids are a good idea, but they haven't sold me yet...

IMO buying a new car, motorcycle etc just for the gas savings isnt a smart move. It would take years of that "reduced" gas cost to pay for the new vehicle.
Now, if you sell 1 vehicle and buy a cheaper/same price vehicle then maybe you could justify it..

Filled up the SRT-4 tuesday night, cost me $30. Filled up the Spectra wednesday, cost me $30 again. Don't remember the exact numbers, and don't have my reciepts right here. It was $2.7-something a gallon though.

When I was coming back from Tucson a couple weeks ago I had to stop in Casa Grande for gas, and it was $2.89 for regular! Ouch! (The SRT-4 needs premuim, and I put it in the Spectra as well). I tried not to look at the amount I was paying for it. It was just sad...
