Anyone ever figure out how to remove the center console cover (to install a leather cover from Redline)? Back when I bought it, years ago, nobody could figure out how to install it - since on my car their are no screws holding the armrest on (unlike later models) Anyone?

Got it off - thanks. Now I'm trying to figure out which end of the Redline cover is the front/back. . .

The instructions say to remove the old cover, but it seems like it's padded and would be better left on and the new one just put over top, but not sure if it will fit that way.

Natural shape of the armrest is narrower towards the front of the car. I suspect that doesn't help you in the least bit tho......

Post pics when you get it on there :)

Well this has turned into an ordeal :) Finally got the new cover on, stapled (glued in a couple places) and now it wont fit back into the assembly. It looks like the leather near the corners is too bunched up/thick. Uhg. Not really looking forward to cutting it to pieces to try and make it fit.

Pizza cut, or triangle cut, the corners so they overlap more than bunch-up?
Try using the old piece as a pattern?

Sadly, that's all I got for this. Might be able to get an auto upholstery or audio place to do it for ya, but no doubt it will cost ya a few bucks or some alcohol...

Good luck with the project!

You shoulda have remove the factory cover and get some padding at target/kmart or any walmart for 5 buck and eliminate the problem you having...
If you keep the factory cover on ,you won't be able to put the plastic cover back on due it's too thick...
GL. :)
