One issue I've read is about the DPF. In those articles, the DPF will be clogged up with soots and/or carbon buildups. It will now throw a code and the car will go on limp mode.
The primary cause of this DPF issue is when the car is mainly used to drive around the city. City driving with a lot of start/stop condition, plus short distance driving, will not allow the DPF to reach its operating temperature to burn the collected soot and/or carbon deposits.
