hmm that would be a tough one to do. I've never heard of anyone doing this to a 6. Are you talking about a mazdaspeed6 (AWD) or a regular 6(FWD)?

that being said, sorry I posted this before I left for school and didn't realize I posted it under the wrong forum. And it is an MS6

I guess you can try to just remove the front driveshafts and plug the holes, but you'd wreak havoc on the computer and electrical systems.

As for the question itself, I don't think it's a really bad question. RWD has its advantages over AWD, less weight, less power loss, better gas mileage, etc.

He got flamed since he put the thread in the V6 section originally and now it got moved to the newbie section.

It is in the newbie section now so there won't be any flaming,but the attitude can go away since he did make the screw up

 

Since you have a AWD and not FWD as originally implied, I'd suggest checking out WRX forums to see what people have done. I know ppl over there have done it. At least to get you going in the right (is right the word I'm really looking for??) direction.
