Wow, 13.5mpg? Obviously, you must be sitting idling in traffic jams alot.

I love the fact that durring my morning/evening commute the traffic report is always the same "All roads flowing nicely". of course my friends down in Philadelphia wonder why I choose to live in the boondocks, but I wonder why they all come up here on the weekends?

Anyway, with just over 2k on the odometer, I've consistantly achived 23-24 MPG with a mix of highway and rural roads (with too many stop signs & traffic lights). I expect it to get better as things continue to break-in.

hate to break it to you but your car broke in 1,999 miles ago

Granted my speed is "modified"... I "was" getting 20 mpg steady always...

I haven't tested highway MPG in a while... however all highway driving I do around here ... i'm racing around anyway...

But I feel good to know that even if I race the hell outta my car.. i still manage to pull 20mpg...

Where as in my civic swap.. I could get 25-30 highway.... and if I ran the hell outta it... I could drop as low as 10-15 mpg... on a FOUR CYLINDER lol.... was really bad....

ok dont laugh
i dont race my speed6 infact i baby it,its is still in break in anyway i have race cars to beet on if i feel the need.

i have had my speed6 for 3 months it does not have the reflash and is stock

miles 563 total (as of today) gallons of gas 47 (before todays fill up)

thats only 11.9 miles per gallon :swearin:

yes all the numbers are right and 90% is around town driveing

using the scan gauge. i clocked 33mpg :)

this was for 15 a 15 mile trip 90% hwy @ 57mph cruising. "rolling grades" meaning slight uphill then slight downhill....

keep in mind my average for the tank hasn't hit beyond 22 mpg

I think I've gotten from 16-17mpg to around 20mpg with a mix driving.

My last tank was around 16mpg again, but that was with almost pure abuse =)

i work 12 minutes from my house, and i am basically using my car mto get to work, and then going out and having fun with it at night. i have been getting like low 13's normally. but when i take it on a majority highay trip i pull like 24-25mpg

To point out a little tendency of OC... every fill up I've had.

Total of 10,592 as of this morning. Honestly, I'm not crazy. I just found an old little notebook when I had bought the car and threw it and a pen into the dash pocket so I could record my first 3-5 fill ups to get an idea of the real fuel economy of my car as opposed to the sticker... now its my little moment of zen I suppose ;) High numbers are from two trips I took (highway and back road driving, but little to no stopping)

*EDIT* Dang, sorry that's so long... and yes, the calc isn't that accurate, and I have no idea why I took it to three decimals, but I still have no idea why I do it in general.

I've averaged 18 MPG on my first 3 tanks. 50/50 city/highway
[/b]
Same here. I got 17 on one tank. I can't help but make a quick launch at every red light. I LOVE THIS FUCKING CAR! lol

My first long freeway trip is this Friday wso I will see the highway mileage soon.

when i got the MS6 back in december, i was avraging about 200-225(13ish MPG)miles to the tank.. now thats horrible, i don't know what the hell i was doing wrong, but now i avrage about 250-300(20ishMPG)miles to the tank. My guess would be that now i don't push the car as hard, just because i'm not as hyped?

the most ive had on a highway trip is 330Miles.... pretty bad, but i do about 80-100 on highways (radar detectors=BEAUTIFUL)

I fill up usually in MD, sometimes in DC if I can't help it. I do 99% city driving, short trips, and I get about 16-17 mpg. I used to get 19 in my 5speed mazda3 on the same roads, so I am OK with it for now considering I am having so much more fun.

I've had my car for almost a month now. I drive about 16 miles each way for work of which 50% is highway and 50% is city. I've been putting in 93 Octane and I am getting 18.5 MPG on average and even got 16 MPG on one tank!

When I took a ride to visit family on thanksgiving (4 hours of highway driving) I got 24.5 MPG. Then the same weekend I took a 2 hour ride on the highway and got 31.5 MPG. Now I'm back down to about 17 MPG and I'm at about 140 miles at half a tank.

I'd say 16mpg - 31.5mpg is a pretty huge range wouldn't you think?

This week I managed to get 364 miles on one tank. Speeding ticket 2 weeks ago got me to slow up a bit along with the driving fast thread! Sure saves on gas. My average was around 200 per tank. I also get to come home to my family alive rather than taking a trip to the morgue!

I got 16 on my first tank and about 19 on my second. My third I decided who gives a fu(k. But I am going to switch from Gulf gas to only top tier gas...shell I guess around here in CT. And I think that will make a difference.

Wow, you guys that fall below the 20's with mixed driving really surprises me. The least mpg I've gotten since I've had the car is 23.62. I drive mostly mixed and flog it quite frequently. Maybe I have flat TX and great quality gas to thank for my results?
