Hi guys, wondering if you could help me out here. My girlfriend recently got an '05 6 s sport and we are looking at moving down to a 16" winter tire setup for her. I know that the stock RSX type-s rims are 5x114.3 like the Mazda has, and they are 16x6.5 +45 offset. Will these fit without any problems? Also was planning on running a 205/60/16 tire on them. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

incase anyone is following this and looking for other stock rim options for winter....think i found a good/cheap alternative. Ford Probe gt rims 93+ , the 93/94 are a simple 5 spoke, 16x7 and 67.1 center bore just like the 6 and can be had for cheap. Forgot I still had some in the basement, will be fitting them Thursday to confirm but all the #'s look good to me!

they should fit. the probe guys use the mazda6 wheels ALOT. lol. they adore them. i actually have my stock mazda6 wheels on my 626 which is the exact same car as a probe mechanically. with a different shell.

just make sure you install the probe wheels correctly. they are directional. and way to often, people install them wrong.

Any update on the Probe wheels? Wondering about the offset compared to the mazda wheel. These would make great winter wheels, they even have a similar look to the stock 16" mazda wheel.

there offset is further out. i have a set of the 16inch probe wheels in my garage. but they shouldnt have any issue as a winter set because you will be running a skinnier tire on them anyways. and they look even better then the 16inch mazda6 wheels. also, the 98-02 mazda 626 center caps fit in the probe wheels. if your picky about them having the correct center caps on a mazda. ;)

That's awesome news!! I am running Steel in the winter and it drives me nuts... I hate looking at it. I'll add those wheels to my list. I think older eclipse wheels have the same offset.

My problem is that I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on winter rims. Anyone got a set of 16's they want to part with?
16's are considered small anymore. There are sets on Craigslist all the time around here. Three different sets between $125 and 150 right now.
