Probably been asked before but I can't find the thread.

I have a mazda 6 TS2 Diesel 2.0.

The summer tyres are 205/55/16. I want to get some winter tyres and steel rims for easy changeover. If I can drop the wheel size for a cheaper tyre I would be pleased.

I can change a wheel but have no idea about wheel sizes etc.

What can I fit?

When you say 'wheel size' do you mean diameter or width? I'd be very surprised if you can drop to 15" wheels..... I have my winters on 16" steel wheels and I can't picture a 15" wheel clearing the front calipers.

Even if you're not buying there, check Tire Rack for an idea of what you can get. I bought my Blizzaks from them mounted on steel wheels.
