Windshield Tint

I am contemplating tinting my winshield to 40%, with a 5% visor. I was wondering if anyone has done this, and if they had any police issues.

I thought windshield tinting was only for show cars. It's a dumb idea if you are driving the car on the road. Stay away from me if thats the case.
