I couldn't care less about zoom zooming. This is the first car I've owned that had a 0 to 60 of less than 10 seconds. To me it's the fastest car out there.

For me it was between this, the Camry, or the Accord. I had to have a Japanese (read: reliable, which excludes Nissan) car.

The Accord was ok, but gripping the steering wheel was downright unpleasant. It just digs into your hands, and made me wonder if anyone at Honda actually tried holding the steering wheel before making them that way.

The Camry was better, but my dad's old 2003 Camry has more comfortable seats than the newer ones. The new 2018 Camry is just obnoxious; the turn signals make this cheesy "ding ding" noise instead of clicks. Also any time you pressed a button that it didn't like it would obnoxiously start beeping at you like "oh you pressed the Back button and you're already as far back as you can go, you must be an idiot! Here's the idiot alarm so you know you're an idiot". Also, the 8 speed transmission couldn't figure out what gear it wanted to be in and would repeatedly shift, even multiple times a second.

The older Camrys (2012-2017) were better, but not the most comfortable. The interior felt cheap, with flimsy plastics and creaky compartment hinges. They also get abysmal gas mileage.

The Mazda 6 was initially a last resort on my list of cars, but when I finally tried one, I was blown away. Besides being the best looking car of the three by a wide margin, the interior looks amazing. Everything feels and looks well thought-out and downright luxurious. While Toyota and Honda have to save their nicest designs for their premium brand cars, Mazda puts it all in the flagship 6. The seats are like nothing I've ever sat in before. It's like they hug you. They keep you in an upright position and it's actually comfortable! In most cars I tend to slouch on longer trips, but not so on the 6.

Anyway I could go on about this, but suffice it to say, I'm very impressed with what this car offers and can't comprehend why so few people are buying them. The Camry sells 10 times as many units per year, and the accord sells around 7 or 8 times as many. Blows my mind. But whatever, the car wouldn't be as nice if everyone else also had one.
Mazda is the car people love but never buy. Why is that? How bout shit resale. The cars sit on dealer lots. How bout try to find a dealer nearby. How bout the shit ac that takes forever to cool down the cabin. Mazda is a niche brand. The same people thst love them are the same people that drive other cars

Really? Well thank you to whoever left a 6 GT in my driveway 2 years ago!
I understand SOME people buy them, and Im a fan, but since I have a car GM in the family, its a known fact they dont hold value, and that reason is why no one buys them. People are into comfort and being a cookie cutter society. So the masses are going to buy what everyone else does. In my case, the nearest Mazda dealership is 60 miles. Are u joking? But, little sales means few dealers

oh, since u have a grand, hows your ac work

If I may ask, do you mean to say that the air conditioning system of Mazda is not good? I live in a tropical country and I can't imagine traveling with a malfunctioning A/C.

I'm interested to know your issue about the A/C system so that I may prepare myself and the others who are reading this.

According to my experience and some other car reviewers, the 6 takes awhile to cool down. It doesnt move enough air in the cabin. So you will sweat your ass off for 15 minutes then it will be fine

I understand, I thought there was an issue. I find it normal for this car to take some time to cool it down if left for 3 hours or more under the scorching heat of the sun, even to other cars that I've used.

With the '6', what I do is open the sunroof aside from the windows as I set the A/C to maximum. Since heat energy's tendency is to move up, it easily cool downs the car as it blows cold air.

Truthfully no issues. We have 3 Mazda dealers in my town. Guess I got a good deal cause right now I can sell mine for a 3 thousand dollar profit. However, it really is the most I could afford at the time and I'm glad because it has been the most enjoyable experience behind the wheel I have ever had.

I just bought a 2018 Signature with 10k miles from a Mazda dealer. I needed a new car, wanted a sedan, since my wife already has our small SUV needs covered. Wanted something fun to drive and with a little more power than the underpowered cars I've be stuck with my whole life, but I won't be taking it on the track or anything so didn't need maximum performance. Also, with FL living, cooled/ventilated seats were a major attraction. I had a '09 Mazda3 which was fine; traded it in when my daily drive became 45 minutes of stop and go traffic and the stick shift became more of a nuisance than it was worth to me.

My consideration set was Mazda6, Accord 2.0 Touring, Kia Optima SX-L or maybe an Acura TL v6, though the packages in my budget didn't include the cooled seats. At first I was dead set on the Acura. Drove it first. It was definitely nice. Then drove the Accord. Also nice, but maybe not as much so. Both felt big while driving. The power on both was good, but just felt like a faster version of the boring family sedan I've been in since 2014. Didn't even end up driving the Kia.

When we drove the Mazda we tested a CX-5 for her first, which was "fine", but we weren't blown away. Then came time for the 6. We were a little skeptical, coming fresh off the CX-5 drive as our reintroduction to Mazda. From the second we got in the 6 my wife and I had that "wow, this is nice, huh?" look on our faces. Driving was actually fun - which I can't say about any car I've owned since maybe my '09 3, seats were comfortable, has all the bells & whistles you could expect from a 2018 (other than the camera resolution, which is a bummer but not that big of a deal to me). Combine that with the fact that it was coming in under the budget required for any of the others in my consideration set, and I ended up with a car that feels like it punches way above its class in terms of comfort, driving and features, and cost $2-3k less than any of the others I had in mind.

Definitely still in the honeymoon phase, but I am hopeful this will be a car I am happy with for a long time...

Why does everyone bitch about the rear view camera? Holy cow, do you want to read labels on girls pants or just be able to see enough to back the heck up? Of anything i could complain about, that wouldnt even be on the list.

It's not a complaint for me. I completely looked past it. Did not affect my purchase decision at all. But...it's not exactly a secret that it is not as clear as competitors. My bringing it up was just in reference to "every bell and whistle can I could ask for in a 2018"...

I am the new owner of a 2019 Signature. Nice car. A bit underwhelmed by the sound system. I thought I'll get better music. Do I have the right settings ? I'll see what I can do ..

Download Neutron and enable EQ and Preamp and tailor it to your taste. You can get a LOT more out of it.
