Do the stock wheels usually have clipped on weights? In Canada as well? Please verify somebody. That sucks and I'll have them taken off.
With the stick-on ones you can just use something to pry them off with. Doesn't take much effort. Hardly enough effort to bend a rim.

From an "aged" tire installer:
Clip-on weight removal - Not all of us have ready access to a wheel weight hammer, so usually a pair of needle nose pliers work or even a flat-bladed screwdriver to bend the clip away from the lip of the wheel.
Stick-on weight removal - Use a flat tipped screwdriver to pry up the sticky weights, don't worry if some adhesive residue is left over. Grab a bottle of degreaser (Purple Power, Greased Lightning, Simple Green, etc) and spray down the area throughly and rub down the area where the weights were attached thoroughly. Make sure to wipe away all of the degreaser.

They are the weights located somewhere on the rim that balance the wheels that way it doesn't wobble when its moving.
If you have seen a wobbling wheel on the freeway on some cars, its because its either bent or the weights are messed up.
