Hey guys, I'm trying to get some fitment advice from the pro's. I have an 08 6i Sport VE with ASA AR1 wheels and OEM 215/50-17 tires. The wheels have a 52mm offset, 5.91" backspacing and a 5-114 bolt pattern. I was wondering if I could go with a little wider tire without any problems. Would a 225/50-17 clear without issue. This is an increase of .4" in diameter from the OEM dia of 25.5" to 25.9" and an increse in section width of .3" from 8.9" to 9.2". Just feeling around with my hand it seems like I have about 3/4" clearance to any suspension parts. I really don't want to spend $500+ for tires and find out they don't fit. Any advice or experience would be very helpful. :huh:

Um..... I have TSW's 17x7 on the factory tires. They rub though. Barely but they do. But my offset is at a 40. My guess is that they dont rub but I would get more advice. There is a good thread on 6crew about this. According to this your good to go.

P.S. I like your bike. I just had to sell my R6 well trade it for an A6. Good deal in my eyes.
