After having had my ALT MEKA wheels for about 5 years now, the paint has started to look dull and fade. The local carwash with wheel brite hasnt helped either, so its time to see if I can refinish them in order to keep from having to buy a new set. Being a 33yr old husband, and father of two little girls, time and money justification is not on my side! I used 3 coats of Duplicolor Silver wheel paint and 3 coats of Duplicolor Wheel Clearcoat. This stuff was very quick drying and easy to spray! Tell me what you think.....

I have also done this with my stock 6 wheels. I used the anthracite grey and so far they have held up perfectly. I love the color and what they did for the look of the car. I also fixed a little curb rash. I'll get some pics of them on the car and post them this weekend.

Alright I know I am a little late...but life sometimes gets in the way. I have been trying to detail my car for two weeks, and finally had enough time to do it this weekend. I think the rims look great on the silver, and I am looking to lower the wagon soon. I also have the side sill extensions ready to be installed, but that will be for another weekend..

i saw this thread and decided to give it a try one day. wheels turned out pretty good. the clearcoat had began to peel from two of the wheels, it looked horrible. here's a pic of one of the wheels before and one of the wheels after. ended up just paintinf them silver.

I'm thinking of painting my OEM's as well.
Just wondering, how many cans of paint is needed to paint 4 wheels (let's say 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear)?
