So I notice this open tube that goes into the firewall behind the intercooler. Looks like a dipstick tube only it's not...
So what is it?

LOL! According to that thread it is:
A) A vent for A/C
B) An inspection point prior to final assembly
or
C) Nothing at all

At least I know it is meant to be there!

I would go with B. I think it's too big for a vent and on a hot day would lead to a very inefficient A/C.

"C", a hold over from previous model years.

Probably for the automatic tranny dipstick, they just kept the same body the over the years.

It's the tube coming out of the built in bong from the factory. Try to take a few puffs...let me know how it goes.
