I have a 2004 Mazda6 v6, and I'm wondering what the factory plug is on the car. I assume an NGK, but wanted to check.

And if an NGK, anyone have the Oreilly or Autozone part number for the recommended replacement?

Thanks!

NGK Iridium IX's FTW!!

I love my NGK V-power coppers.(gapped to .052)

the NGK Iriduim IX plugs were horrible when I tried them and came "pre-gapped" too large(.057). They didn't stay in my car 3 days the idle was so bad.
Love my NGK Iridium IX's... that is after I re-gapped them to .050 (mine came outta the box pre-gapped to .060!!!).
Been rocking them since Oct. of last year with no issues whatsoever. ;)

I've got NGK Iridium IX Plugs. Been running them for about 35,000 miles with great results. I left the gap as-is and have had 0 issues. I actually didn't even check the gap out of the box which was stupid, but I am assuming it was around .57. Now knowing that others have had issues with the gap, I will probably switch to a different plug for future replacement, especially if other plugs are 1/2 the price (NGK IX are like $7-$8).
