Hey Folks,

I'm not sure this is the right forum to post as I'm not certain my problem is with my clutch or possibly something else.

My 2004 Mazda6 V6 MTX has 226,000kms on it and since its early days I've had the dreadful stuttering clutch but I've learned to live / drive with it.

My car was doing this last winter as well, but tends not to do this during the warmer summer months. The problem is, when it is slushy or colder wet roads, my car stutters almost like I jumped on the clutch very briefly. RPMS don't rise and speed is maintained, but it is almost like I hit a patch of ice or something momentarily. Last night we got our first big snowfall and of course the roads were slushly and wet, but by no means did I lose traction and the car did what I'm explaining about 4 times in a 60km trip.

Any suggestions on what steps to take to diagnose this would be appreciated. Could it be an air leak in a vacuum hose?

Thx,
Jim
