Dear Community Members,

We are excited to announce that we are live on our new forum platform! We have been working hard over the past few months with a leading design and product firm to deliver a cleaner, faster and more engaging experience for you. We have leveraged XenForo tools and features but added layers of modern design and technology to make the site run faster, smoother and more reliably. All of the valuable content within the community is still here, even though the layout may look different.

A consistent experience across all devices
The site is optimized for all screen sizes, including mobile. All features are available and ready to use on all devices.

Speed and reliability are key
No one should have to wait for information. This site has been built to be much faster and more reliable, period.

Easy to use and navigate
We have made the design clean and simple to focus on the areas the community uses the most and removed clutter.

We have also introduced a number of new and updated features:

New Homepage Experience
Your home page now features the most active forums, trending discussions, featured showcases, and top contributing members. This will help keep you up to date on what’s happening in your community and eventually become a very personalized experience for our members with all the great content you love surfaced effortlessly for you.

Search
We have introduced new search algorithms, powered by an industry-leading AI platform, that will help you find information faster. We plan to roll out new features to continue improving search, and to power many additional areas of the forum.

Due to the volume of content, our search platform may take some time to complete indexing. During this process, you may see a limited number of posts until indexing has been completed. We appreciate your patience.

Popular and New Posts
We have made it easy to navigate directly to the Popular (previously Active Topics) Posts. You can find the Popular section, which includes “New Posts”, by clicking on the trending up arrow in the navigation. Always be up to date!

Bookmarks
Now you can bookmark your favorite discussions! Bookmarks are a handy way to remember and easily find great content or stuff you want to read later.

Following
Following a thread is a great way to stay up-to-date on the topic, and receive alerts or emails when there are new replies. Thread subscriptions and watched threads are now called “Followed”. Your followed threads can be accessed by clicking on your user avatar, and clicking “Following”. We have migrated all of your existing subscriptions into the new platform.

Show off your own collection.
We have introduced “My Showcase” for you to show-off images of your own vehicles, modifications or road trips to the rest of the community and we have migrated in the existing data from our vBulletin Garages. This is your opportunity to upload often and share your passion! Visit Showcase.

Dark Mode
We have introduced Dark Mode. One of our favorite features allows you to access the site with a power-saving, and easier on the eyes dark mode. You can access it through the right-hand drop-down menu.

We also wanted to make it easier for new users to understand the lingo of forums. We have cleaned up various language to more commonly recognized phrases including:

Forum Listing – the forum index, or forum home, is now known as the Forum Listing page. It can be found in the drop-down menu with the 3 dots.

Following - Thread subscriptions, and Watched are now known as Following

Conversations – Private Messages or PMs are now conversations and can be accessed from the user avatar drop-down in the main navigation

Showcase – Showcase is designed for users to "showcase" items/projects through the use of uploaded images, text descriptions and custom content categories. It’s a way to visually and textually provide detailed information on content you wish to share. The showcase would be similar to a catalog, whereas gallery would be like a photo album. Can be accessed from the drop-down menu with the 3 dots

Popular – is the new name for Active Topics. You can also directly navigate to New Posts / Today’s Posts from this button

Account Settings – is the new name for UserCP. The account settings can be found by clicking on your avatar in the top right navigation

Bookmarks – a great place to store valuable content that you may want to reference later.

These are just a few of the great new functions and features to try on the site. Take a tour and look around! If you have any questions, please check out the HELP section for some quick FAQs about the new platform, https://www.mazda6club.com/help/

Please let us know what you think about the new experience, your feedback is important to us.

Thank you all for your support during this amazing journey!

Please don't be afraid to explore and test out things to see how they work on the site.

Although you can certainly use the "insert image" icon to upload an image to your post, you can also just drag and drop it to the text editor or even copy/paste it into there! :)

(I took this photo at one of my favorite Texas State Parks.)

You can easily share videos just by adding the URL directly into the text editor!

Gif links from sites like giphy.com will display automatically just by adding the gif URL directly in the text editor. Try it!

I am also a huge fan of the dark mode for the community. What is your favorite feature?

I will be here to answer questions and to help you navigate, as needed. :)

Hi,

Probably a stupid question, but is the new forum compatible with Tapatalk ? I can't login anymore. Using either my username or email address. It gives me a "Log In Failed - Incorrect password. Please try again." message.

Thanks.

Nice and sleek looking so far. Gonna take some time to get used to it.

I already miss seeing my 1st gen 6 paired with @Mz6GreyGhost's 2nd gen on the banner though :(

I'll be surprised if anyone likes the new layout.
My biggest complaint so far is that it doesn't do well on regular web browsers rather than mobile ones. The framing is all off and set to "fixed" so that, if I make my browser any narrorwer than Full Screen, the frame takes up half the view and all the content is squished to oblivion.

I guess this is what I get for complaining about the old one.
A nice thing that I found so far with the new setup is that you can highlight someone's text in a reply and it will automatically bring up a "Reply" button which will take only the highlighted text and quote it for you in your reply. Easier than having to quote the whole thing then edit it after.

Edit: ^^ That being said - AdBlock was able to easily remove the whole frame and, while it was nice to have some added information on the side panel, I'd much rather more "real estate" for the actual posts.

Can I get a screenshot of this along with your device information and browser, please?

Like most of us, I am a creature of habit, so it takes me a bit to get used to changes. (I was more than a little grumpy about it all at first.) I was lucky enough to get the chance to play with the new platform before they went live with it so I am already getting used to it. I have to admit that I am crazy about it now. It feels so much faster and is easy to use after a brief learning curve. Give it some time. :)

How To Find New Posts & Use Filters
From the navigation, near the upper right-hand corner, click on the upward-pointing arrow and then select “New Posts” from the drop-down menu.

This will open a new page of new posts for you. You can also choose to set special filters or mark all posts read on that same page.

I am here to help you through the transition to the new platform, so please keep your questions coming!

First, I understand WHY it's doing this, but it would be nice if I didn't have to block the top-of-the-page information section to make it NOT do this.

Can I get a screenshot of this along with your device information and browser, please?

I agree with Byakuya, there is currently a TON of wasted space on a desktop browser. I've tried two different browsers, Firefox and Vivaldi (a chromium-based browser). They both result in wasted space on BOTH the left and right sides. I really want more space dedicated to the actual forum content - it's much nicer to look at and much easier to read.
Here's my screen shot of the issue:

In addition to the above, I find the lack of better delineation between posts, forum topics, or forum listings to be somewhat disturbing... :) It's as if they're all swimming in a sea of open space and sameness, with only tiny little lines struggling to step up and act as delineators.

I will say, the other tools and features (like ctrl-V a pic into the post!) are most excellent. Just hoping for some layout tweaks to help the flow and readability of the site.

Thanks for listening to the feedback!

This is the most recent update I have received regarding current developer priorities for upcoming updates.

Advanced Search Options:
Our development team is actively working on developing an advanced search feature that will better help find exactly what you are looking for. This is a priority for all of us.

We’ve also heard that searching within threads and forums is critical as well as being able to filter by date and thread title. While there are more search functions that can be added, we want to work towards delivering you better Search as soon as possible. Let us know if we are on the right track.

Signatures:
Personalizing your experience is an important part of being a member here. We have heard your feedback on having more options with text and images in your signature. We are launching a solution in the next couple of weeks to allow for this. We hope you like it!

Display on Wider Screens:
The designers are actively making adjustments to accommodate for wider monitors and higher resolutions. As this will affect the display of the site, there is some complexity around the changes to ensure it still works well on ALL devices. We appreciate your patience here and look forward to delivering this improvement very soon.

Showing Locations:
This community is a great way to bring together people from all parts of the globe. We have heard many times that there is interest to show your member location more prominently near your avatar. We are working on a better way to achieve this. In the meantime, you can adjust your location within your profile settings to show when you roll over a member avatar with your mouse.

Testing if I'm truly logged in...

EDIT: Please check for tapatalk compatibility. Below is a screenshot from my device.

We have been in contact with the Tapatalk support team. Tapatalk has confirmed this is an issue on their side and it will be addressed in a future release of the app. Once Tapatalk has released a fix, this issue should be resolved by updating the app to the most current version. We don’t have an ETA for the new release. Hopefully that helps provide a bit more clarity on this frustrating issue.

Have you tried accessing the site from your mobile browser yet? The site is responsive, so it will adjust automatically for you from any device. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Member feedback is what helps fuel future updates to the site, so please keep it coming. We do compile all the feedback you share. Although we may not action everything, we are logging what users are saying. We will be continuously updating design and user experience with weekly updates! :)

Thank you. I guess I'll just have to familiarize myself with the mobile web version. And I appreciate the walkthrough on the web version.

If I may request, I hope you don't mind posting the previous logo. I'd like to save it. I suddenly miss it...

I'm just partial with red.

You mean the 'Mazda6Club" logo? I actually appreciate that it's now officially in Mazda colors :D

Yes - I've got all the same wasted space as well, but you have to remember that this is using CSS to do its best to handle varied-length monitors. That being said, you should just be able to throw some padding on the edges so it handles all screens the same way, regardless of size.

Yes, that one. The new logo is definitely nice.

How do I add or insert line after the image I uploaded using the web version (mobile)? With tapatalk, I just press and hold the picture and then a menu will pop up.
