its not easy IMO, i tried it on a diff vehicle and screwed it up. personally i won't try it again. Quik6 (currently selling his car, pics are on here somewhere) did this with his MS6 and it turned out fantastic! he would be the best person to check with on the specifics of how to do it and do it right the first time.

Im fairly certian that Quik6 used the carbon fibre 3M stickers that the forums sponser CARiD sells. THe stuff they sell is actually pretty good quality, but essentially its just a sticker you lay over top of trim peices.

I wasnt too sure about it at first, but this weekend I went with my wife to test drive a Scion Tc, and the model on the showroom floor had been outfitted with the CARiD carbon fibre, and after seeing that I really think that it looks fantastic. Im thinking about doing this to my car after seeing it.

Sticker Cover

I bought some sticker stuff from Canadian Tire because I had to buy a new plate for my CD deck. It looked bland so I put the stuff on. It was tricky.
It has to be fairly warm as you need to be able to move & or stretch it.
i think I have 1-2 small krinkles by the hazard. A very sharp razor thin utility knife is required.

If they're precut, it might be easier b/c you don't have to mess with cutting it to the exact size to overlay over the pieces.
I did it to my emblem & it wasn't too hard.
I think the hard part is removing the trim pieces to stick it on.

thats hot!
Thanks, my brother in law gave me a left over piece.
I had to use 2 pieces to cover the huge front emblem.
I'm waiting on him to order more cause I have no need for a 4ft sheet.

Its not to bad/hard to do, but If you do do it get the 3M stuff. Dont buy anything else but it. Its not seriously that bad. I tinted my headlights myself but ruined the job when I pulled off my eyelids. But its not to bad. Just leave yourself plenty of time and have a heat gun and your set!

The one I have is 3M di-noc.
Holding up pretty well in the harsh winters here in Chicago.
Don't buy that cheap stuff at Autozone.
The 3M stuff is $30 for a roll of 1ft by 4ft.
Just CF everything like your laptop & toilet seat if you have leftovers. LOL
