yup, that short shifter has been out for a while now,
from what i hear, the bracket that's included makes shifting alot easier and smoother...
some say you can put it in first gear going about 10mph rolling...

hey guys i was the guy that confronted TWM about the bracket after getting my cables replaced....the bracket that is included with the TWM kit actually brings the angle of the cable back into the stock range which in turn provides very smooth effortless shifting...also shifting into 1st is no longer a hassel and the clunking that used to accompany the shifter is completely gone! TWM's shifter is far more superior than the MAzdaspeed one simply because of this bracket so if you are going to get one get the TWM one

I guess I don't know what you mean. I have the MS shifter and mine is like butter... The key, is taking the center console completely out during install. The MS instructions tell you not to, while the TWM tell you to. I think people bend the cables getting them out of the bracket, which causes the first gear clunky feeling,

BTW: For the poster that said you shift into 1st at 10MPH, why would you do that? That is killing your synchros!!! The car is plently strong to pull in 2nd from 10mph.

Poster, as in you "posted" on the board. Funny, if you use the MS instructions you get binding (per some board members), if you use the TWM instructions you get a very smooth install. Mine would not come out without removing it all.
