recently lost my sti, as you can see from my username, tried to be creative, whatever. hit a telephone pole a few weeks ago. as i'm shopping for another car the speed6 caught my eye. i'm just wondering if i can fit my vf30 turbo from my sti onto the speed6 pretty much as a direct replacement, i dont want to frankenstein anything together. im only asking because from what ive read the 6 comes with a k04 stock and i almost threw up a little, and would really like to get the vf30 on it if i buy one. thanks for any info guys.

yeah i get it. somone reading my post thinking im an idiot because of the question im asking. deciding the best way to answer my question would be to just tell me to get another sti thinking ill go away. great. how about you just answer the question i originally asked.

You want to fit a car to a turbo? That's foolish.
It won't drop right in, like Justin said. And don't know what you'd have to do for the oil lines.
There's some pretty well established big turbos that can be run on a Speed6. And just dropping in at BT won't yield very great results on this platform.
How about do a little research on these cars before you decide you want to buy one because you've got a turbo lying around.

well thats why i asked. as i mentioned i didnt want to frankenstien a turbo to this car. if it doesnt fit ill sell it. but i wouldnt be happy with a k04, so ill shop around
.

I have a complete turbo setup that should bolt right up. Most of the parts are
brand new while the exhaust mani. DP and screamer pipes are one off custom pieces. You would have to fabricate new oil and water lines for it though, (I do have 2 oil lines that may work but not sure).

The list of parts are as follows.

Perrin EBCS (new)

Turbonetics 50 trim T4/T3 hybrid with ceramic bearings, hot side has been ceramic coated (new)

Tial 38mm EWG (new)

Custom one off Top mount exhuast manifold, ceramic coated (was on a car for about 6 months)

Custom screamer pipe, ceramic coated (on a car for about 6 months)

Custom DP,catless, ceramic coated to the flex section, ( on a car for about 6 months.

here are a couple pics of it mocked up on a spare motor that I had.

that's purdy... and for the OP, you wont be happy with this platform over an STi. This is more akin to the Legacy GT. It's just a cow on steroids. There's a few here making what is considered high power for this motor, but would be dwarfed by evo's and STi's with less headache and money put into it. But then again, it's not a Carolla inside like the other 2, and you can get these car's for 2/3's the cost of an STi.... This motor is unforgiving, so if you get it wrong, hope you got a spare block.

yeah, i read you cant go wider than the stock 7" rim/215 tire without rolling the fenders though, which is a bummer.
Not a bummer. Takes about 30 min to roll the rear fenders with no problems....
