I don't know if anyone knows of this or already has one, but my homeboy forwarded me a link of this. I think think it looks tough and the fitment looks money. I'm so inclined to get it since I butchered the crap out of my stock one and barely got it to fit properly. They were nice enough to give the option to be tailored with or without the front engine mount.

So does anyone have one of these? What do you fellas think?

I'm thinking $255 might buy a decent hooker.

But, I believe that's still cheaper than the OE tray.

So, if your factory one is thrashed, why not? TT makes some good stuff.

I wonder why they said 2003-2008 Mazdaspeed6?? That may be a good option for you... have you tried searching junkyards online for the OEM one? I need to fix my bumper... off the sides of the skid plates near the wheel well. Giant holes on both sides fml... my bats dropped 15F, but 1/2 my horn got blown out in a big rainstorm :(

How much is the OEM one new? I'm always skeptical when they say "it improves airflow/lowers engine bay temps" without any data to back it up.

With you on this one. I am sure Mazda put it there for a reason, the biggest one I have heard is cooling, so I want to know what these holes/slits do to air flow.

If they did some testing and it DID cool the engine more; I want to see it. Otherwise, I can slide under there and cut those same holes with a jig saw on the OEM one and make the same claim.

Do you think the dealer would void your warranty over this? If they did, I might die from laughter.

On another note, fitment looks good, it cleans up the under side of the car and it might be lighter?

I butchered the crap out of mine so there's a chunk of change in difference between this one and the stocker. If I'm going to replace mine in the future, might was well go for broke.

I don't understand either how it improves air flow. If there is a noticeable difference in temps from the air going up through the slits causing turbulence, I'm sure there are hundreds of ways to cover those holes up. Duct tape anyone?

I was thinking to factory tray was into the $300s, but it's available online at onlinemazdaparts.com for $200. Part number is GP9A56110A.
And also curious what the slits and vents might do to the pressure differential. The tray keeps low pressure behind the rad. It does serve a purpose, other than protection.

Sorry, I got a little laugh thinking of ordering this and then 'modding' it with duck tape to cover up the holes.
