I have two 2003 Mazda 6's, one a Mazda 6i and a 6s. Both show signs of rust on the forward underside of the trunk lid. Does anybody else this problem? Also my fan control module went out so the engine cooling fans continue to run after the engine is turned off. Dealer replaced the unit. I know of two other owners who had the same problem.

Yes.... If you want more information on thenrust issue than you can handle, please check out the following thread: http://mazda6club.com/forums/read.php?TID=9107

Otherwise, you should have received a notice in the mail about the rust issue from Mazda and they will fix it free of charge. Make sure to point out any other areas where there might be rust build up.. ie around door sills and gaskets, etc...

As far as the fan issue... It does seem to be a common problem as I have seen many members complain about the same thing!

Thanks for the info and I had the dealer do the service bulletin on the rust on the doors, but, this stuff on the trunk lid is ugly!
