Just recently bought a Mazda Speed 6 and on the way home it broke down. Transmission locked up and there was a clunking sound from the engine bay. Im looking to fix it myself and Im planning on just swapping out the transmission. Anyone know if the mazda 6 manual transmissions are compatible with the speed6? if not anyone know if the 2007 speed6 transmission would be compatible into a 2006. Looking to buy a Transmission as well if anyone knows of one. Need it for a 2006 mazda speed 6 manual. Any help or pointing in the right direction is much appreciated! Thanks guys!

You will need an AWD transmission which I believe is the A26MX-R. Fingers crossed there is not motor or differential damage from the seizure.
I suppose you could use one of the regular 6 transmissions if you only wanted FWD but I can't imagine the computer would care for this much.
