I have a 2004 6i with the ATX...obviously. And ever since owning the car I have noticed a vibration all throughout the car at idle but only when the car is in gear. If it is in Park or Neutral I don't notice it. So I assume it is the ATX vibrating.
Obviously with a 4 cylinder I am going to expect some vibration but this much seems to be a little TOO much. I can notice my seats vibrate and I can feel it all throughout my body at some times. And like I said, if I put it in neutral or park it goes away.
It's really quite annoying, I can be sitting at a drive-thru and I'm just shaking away in my seat and it's just really annoying. Makes me feel like I am driving a POS.
I guess my question is, can the tranny mount be bad? Is this something I need to take into the dealer and have them fix under warranty? I should mention, the idle on the car isn't high. At least the tach doesn't read anything high enough to warrant vibration from the tranny. Matter of fact, if I have the car in drive and I am sitting at a light and I am vibrating, I can hit the gas a little bit and while obviously holding the break too I can rev the engine up above 1000 and the vibration goes away ...it's very smooth.
So yeah, anyone else notice this cheapness about the car? Or is it just me?
