Check 'em out.  They have thousands of user reviews.  Are you looking for all-season, three season, or summer tire?  What size?  [/b]
Jon's in Singapore and winter, summer we use the same tyres here :D

His size (tyre size that is) if I'm not mistaken is 195/65R15 or 215/45/R17

Xterm,

Hear a lot about the Yokohama Aspec DB tyre. Should give it a try .

Thanks !

How about yourself? Which tyre brand? Rim size?

BTW, do you get a lot of road noise into the cabin?

Hi Jon,

I changed my tires to Falken ZE512, they don't have the 195/65/15, so I made do with the 205/60/15. I've also done the sound clad with Tuff-Kote, so the road noise seems lesser now.

S$365 is for the sound clad. Right? or both ( including the tyres)

Sorry, should have been more specific. S$365 is for the sound clad only. I traded my original Yokohama S$60 per piece, so ended up paying S$50/- per piece for my Falkens.

Strange that you got Yokohamas. I got bridgestones instead.

I was told the cars will come with different tires depending on the production batch. They probably work with several tire suppliers over in Japan.

Actually, in our case, the tyres are fitted locally by Stamford. Stock cars will come with 15" steel rims and not 15" Alloys. That also keeps the OMV down to reduce taxes.

I see.......

Speaking of alloys, Mazda is selling the same sports rim but 17" for S$400/- per piece.....ouch.!! Do you think we can get the same type but in 16" from places outside?

Been looking around as well but so far, haven't seen any. I wanted 16"s as well. 16" more attractive coz ride comfort will still be there + they look nice on the 6 compared with other rims such as the OZ SuperLeggeras which is so common here.

Sorry missed this message earlier. hehehe...

Now I'm on stock 15" Alloys shod with Bridgestones. Road noise coming in to the cabin's not too bad. But then again, due to my ICE, I soundproofed the entire cabin (including the roof) with Accumat and Dynamat so it's very quiet now.

How much did it cost you to sound proof the entire cabin?

Mine bridgestones too. Xterm & mine might belong to the same batch.

Maybe your M6 is from another batch and that's why you're having the "knocking" sound problem.
