Hey guys, I had recently switched over to winter tires.

Today when I was changing my front brakes I realized that one of the bolts wont come off, it was cross-threaded !!! The bolt it fucking useless now ...

There is no other way I could've done it myself because it would take an air gun to cross-thread it that bad. Also this was the first time I took off my tires after switching over ...

I am gonna go over and bitch at them ... those jackasses !!! :swearin: :swearin:

Sounds like someone was playin' NASCAR pit stop with your lug nuts...

How did the brake swap go? Did it take an act of God to get the rotors off?

if you catch someone tightening your nuts with an air gun. use the torque wrench to beat the fucker down

Back then, when i purchased Winters for my P5,
i purchased thru GB, had the guys install them on my P5,
didn't have much knowledge back then.....seein' all of the nuts were bein' air gunned
by the time i wanted to rotate my tires, all Nuts
were over torqued. One of them were definity cross threaded..
and when i tried too hard, i actually snapped the bolt.
since it was 3 months after the installation, i couldn't go back
and complain, so i had to pay this out of my pocket,
cost me around $50 at DWM w/ club discount....

Yes, yes - I agree Balhar.

Only let professional "service" technicians tighten your nuts...by hand at first...otherwise you'll end up like sunny, with cross-threaded nuts...try explaining THAT one to the hospital staff...

If you don't mind me asking how did you go about removing the rotors.

Thanks

I can see why Balhar recommends hand threading nuts... he'll try anything to get people to handle his nuts.

Those dreaded screws, my buddy had a drill  ... they are useless anyways, and on my car they were in bad shape ...

Because they would be picking on me otherwise....plus...it's too easy...lol

but keeping in line with the topic....why wouldn't they have threaded them on a little bit first?

Wow....can you feel the love?

Really interested to see how he made out tho. Even though it's possible they told him to "go home", it's also possible they replaced or rethreaded the post.
