Hi all. Had an '08 4cyl years ago but am back in the 6 game with an '05 wagon 5-speed with 134k. Happy to see this place still alive.

Anyway, it looks like it has the omnipresent timing cover leak, and since it's kind of an undertaking, I'm wondering if there is anything else I should tackle while I have it all apart. I've read that the PCV is a common cause of pain with these engines so I'll probably replace that at least. The previous owner replaced the valve cover gaskets about 20k ago and they aren't leaking, so I might re-use those. Anything else I'm missing that would be low hanging fruit in there?

Id go ahead and do the tensioners, cam gears and chain while youre in there. The whole kit is a little over $100 usually, and for shits and giggles, might wanna pop in new VVT valve solenoids since youre pulling the VC's anyway.
