on the I4 the cheapest Ebay intake and the most expensive............ are all the same.

it is a piece of pipe with a hole for the maf, a filter, and a couple of nipples.

I would advise getting a better quality filter, but it is your call.

im looking to get some performance boost with probably 100 130 most and just saw this and thought it was cheap but that left money for something else to upgrade. any tips would be useful

that is infinitely incorrect. it took me less than 45mins to do a CAI in the middle of a college parking lot.

I changed to a SRI to test a product for a company in under 10mins.

there is nothing difficult about it.

This intake will work perfectly fine, just replace the filter with a better one (AEM). Theres literally 100's of threads just like this one, and you'll see the same response from a handful of people who have used the "cheap" Ebay intakes on there 6i (myself).

I actually just purchased a "cheap" cai as well.. They are all the same.. Basically 2.75 - 3" tubing with a reusable filter. As mentioned, just look for the maf adapter port and make sure the company has at least a return/exchange policy you can agree with in case they send something different. I am going to swap the filter for a K&N and I will be purchasing some thermal wrapping for it as well..

The BEST mods may be the most expensive, but that doesn't mean the most expensive mod is best for you

Sounds good. Im hoping to gain at some kinda power and sound outa this... seeing how i have an automatic with manual mode, i guess i cant expect too too much.... or can i??
