As the title states, is it worth putting in a temp gauge for the manual transmission?

This is the gauge that I'm debating putting in: http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.a...2799&sid=15

I was considering going mechanical like most of my other gauges but the installation would be to difficult.

I'm a few days away from having a machine shop make an adapter for the sensor.

Waste of money unless your racing or something. Our trannies use gear oil. It would have to get very hot to make the gear oil not work.

I'm ussually go autoX every weekend that I can make it.

Like you said though, I'm sure it would have to get pretty hot for the fluid to break down.

Anyone else?
