Hello, im new to this forum and i have a question regarding my 03 Mazda 6 2.3L . I am having an issue with the TCS coming on while i rev the engine while in park, i can hold the engine at a certain rpm with out TCS coming on and making my engine stall so it falls all the way to zero rpm then back up to 2000 or 3000 depending on where i try to keep it at. Anybody have any idea what im dealing with ? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know why the TCS will lit up if you rev the engine. In my 2018 car, the RPM will drop to its idle speed if I go beyond 2000 for more than 5 seconds.

I have never heard of this with the Mk1. I have run mine at 2000-3000 RPM for over a min to do certain diagnostics without issue.
Just so I understand.

• When TCS is enabled, and you try and hold it at 2000-3000RPM, your engine stalls, "down to zero [RPM]" and then you have to restart it?
• When the TCS is turned off you can hold your engine and any RPM?
