Looks like Karl might be AWOL! :(

Karl, I'm in for one too! PM sent!

Are there any other ways to fix this other than buying the whole assembly from Mazda and changing the whole thing out. It costs something like $175-230.

Sorry folks. Life's been tossing curve balls lately. Not only that, but I was down to only 2 switches. Then I had a hard time finding switches. Mazda sells it only as part of a full shifter assembly. Evidently because of this the manufacturer is no longer producing the switch for Mazda. The 3 places I'd bought them in the past no longer has them available. I did find them through another source, and I have them to sell again.

Zero idea why the shop doesn't have them marked-up, but they don't. So, price and conditions all remain the same: For $20 you get 1 switch, and that includes USPS Priority Mail 2-3 day shipping. If you need 2, it's $30. That is to the continental US. Canada and elsewhere will depend on actual shipping costs and hassles there would be.

You should have your switch by now. And as I explained, I mistakenly sent a switch to someone who actually hadn't paid. I simply mixed emails.

And you got half your money back.

Hi Karl, I appreciate the follow up and courtesy PayPal refund. But still no switch. :(
?? Seriously? The read-out at the post office said 'expected' date was Thursday. I don't do the 'X days' guarantee, just Priority Express. If you don't get it by Monday or Tuesday, let me know. I'm not making money on these - I'll send another out.

Karl, PayPal provides my address... Can you PM me what you have for my address? Still no switch. It's getting a little ridiculous to think that the postal service can't deliver...?

Karl, so I double checked PayPal and you DIDN'T refund me the % you stated for my trouble. On top of the fact that you still haven't made good on the switch leads me to believe that I've been duped and conned. I've been patient and flexible and I've got nothing in return.

I just hope that the Admins, mods and members on here see what's going on.

I'm not impressed.

Good news... After waiting almost two months. The switch finally arrived. It seemed Karl had a few of us confused and was sending switches to the wrong people.

I'll post up results after installation.

I have a 2004 Mazda 6 with an ATX. In manual mode the car will NOT upshift, but it has NO problems downshifting. I've tried the WD-40/Silicone spray tricks and those worked for a while, but now it never upshifts. I know there is a switch in the shifting console but I have no idea where to buy it w/o getting hosed by a dealer. Any suggestions?

Sybra2ecar - I have the same problem as well in my 2004 V6 ATX. I have trouble getting into Manual mode, and then the upshifts/downshifts don't work reliably. I'm thinking all 3 switches are the same. I think the plastic piece on top of the shift gate needs to be removed with 4 screws in order to get the the up/down shift switches. I tried but can't get the darn piece off.
