My horn still works when panic/locking car. But steering wheel to activate horn doesn't work. And recently my turn signals stopped making a clicking sound randomly. It works here and there.

And it all started with my Advanced Key indicator light being stable light red color. (which doesn't mean anything. it's dim and now disappeared. this is not the KEY icon which means something is wrong)

No cel. I checked all fuses. I disconnected from battery. I played with the relays moving em around in the fuse box. Nothing works.

Anyone have any ideas? Where do these wires go? I took the steering wheel apart and shook the cables around. The problem doesn't seem to be there. I don't know which wire is for horn. I don't randomly want to start shorting wires to test :p

Thanks in advanced!

Okay.. So horn works by grounding it. I was thinking maybe the rotational wiring part for the steering wheel was broken. So I tried shorting it at the connector before it. Nope.

I don't understand what could be causing all this without seriously messing something up?! o_O

And I think the blinker sound is normal. It only goes away when the car is beeping at me. Like advanced key beeps or seat belt. Or is that still a warning of a problem. Lol.

I'm willing to bet that the clock spring in your steering wheel is bad. You'll have to pull the wheel off to replace it.

There was a TSB for the clock spring making a clicking sound when turning the wheel, it would give you the part number that you need, and I think the procedure for R&Ring the part.

I took the wheel apart. It pushes back fine. I figured the horn would be constantly going off if it was broken. I even disconnected the connector and tried shorting it to no avail.

You broke your clock spring because you did not recalibrate it. You have to recenter the clock-spring if you moved it. Since you turn signal does not click off. I bet your off by half turn. Half a turn is cutting too close to the edge. As not everything broke. Only your horn? Maybe more? It's part of the wiring for the horn, volume control, cruise control and even airbag. Check if all of those work.

You will still have to replace it. The clock-spring then must be re centered. It states on that you have to turn it all the way to the right, then 2 3/4 turns left.

The indentation for the turn signal needs to be @ 9 oclock.

This is all by memory, fyi...

Would it still push back though? I unplugged the wire and tried shorting it. It didn't do anything!

theres a 20A fuse in your engine fuse box labeled "STOP" check that. also check your BCM and make sure you dont have any problems on the circuit board.

Fuses are fine. Where is the BCM located?

Does anyone know where the wire for the horn on the steering wheel goes to? I figured directly to the relay because it's just being grounded when you press the horn down.

Strange is that my alarm still activates the horn meaning the horn still works. And the relay still works. And I think my problem with the blinkers clicking are normal. Haha.
